To give New Yorkers a breath of normalcy and hope during the early days of the pandemic, we helped Howard Hughes develop and build The Greens – a unique gathering place at the Rooftop of Pier 17.
The Greens started as a summer destination, with rentable outdoor “mini-lawns” featuring grass, shade, chairs, coolers and recharge stations – all socially distanced and COVID-safe.
The concept proved so popular, we created a cold-weather version: Winter Greens, which featured rentable private “glass chalet” dining rooms with cozy décor, heaters, air cleaners and spectacular city views.
Both summer and winter Greens offered contactless food delivery and a full slate of programming – from movies to music to exercise classes – and both were almost always sold out.
The Greens became a go-to destination in the Seaport for locals and visitors alike.
